ABOUT ME

Most people don’t become a therapist by getting a Masters degree: it’s a combination of your family history, your education and your life experiences. Some people would say that they were born with a calling to help others.  I think I was both born and “taught” by my family to help others – from living with and taking care of an extended family from an early age to learning from my oncologist parents how to listen to people in need and come up with solutions.  My first career as an international law attorney has equipped me with skills in negotiation and mediation, while my training in Marriage and Family therapy and my life experience have prepared me to work with people who are navigating difficulties of life at any stage of development.  Being a wife, a parent, a daughter and a sister humbled me enough to see that family struggles are inherent in family life no matter how loving the family is.

My unique background has prepared me to help people who seek deeper meaning and satisfaction in life, parents and their children negotiate the difficulties of adolescence and couples reach their next level of intimacy.

Deciding you want to meet with a therapist for help and support takes courage and finding a good fit with a therapist can be its own process!  Please call me to see if we are a good match and if I specialize in your area concern.
